Cambridge, MA. November 15th, 2005 - Coinciding with Autodesk®'s release of Discreet® Flame® for the Linux operating system, GenArts Inc., a leading provider of digital visual effects plug-ins for the film, broadcast and video industry, today announced the availability of Sapphire Plug-ins® for Flame on Linux.Sapphire version 3 for Linux includes the same familiar interface and wide range of effects and features that Autodesk users have long depended on, along with some substantial enhancements. The software has been specifically optimized for Intel and AMD hardware with 2 x dual-core processors for faster user interaction and rendering. It includes support for 64-bit Linux operating systems which fully utilize large-memory systems enabling customers to use Sapphire on larger projects. Sapphire version 3 also supports Autodesk Burn® rendering on 32-bit and 64-bit systems and is fully compatible with other Discreet systems on both Irix and Linux.
